Use the evidence from the customer journey to decide what to improve next.

Look for blockers, not cosmetic perfection

A website does not need to be flawless before advertising. But the core offer should be understandable, the page should load and work on common devices, and visitors should have a clear next step. Broken links, outdated prices or missing booking details are practical blockers.

Review the exact page the campaign will use. Does it match the search or ad promise? Can a visitor find relevant proof and understand important conditions? Does the action work from a phone? Focus first on issues that prevent a real customer from deciding or acting.

Make measurement and follow-up ready

Know what action you expect and how it will be recorded. If the campaign aims to generate calls or enquiries, test the tracking and the contact route. Make sure a person is assigned to respond.

If a visitor moves into an external booking tool, understand which parts of the journey can be measured and where the data stops. Document limitations rather than implying every booking can be attributed precisely.

Then run a test sized to the business

Once major blockers are resolved, set a controlled budget and a clear review period. Use results to learn about demand, search terms and the destination. Do not scale simply because clicks are arriving.

If the website is usable and the business can handle demand, advertising can help test a market. Improve the specific weak point that evidence reveals. Waiting for a perfect website is unnecessary; sending paid traffic into an avoidable failure is wasteful.
